A New Free Kit

Every month over in the forum at Gotta Pixel a series of challenges are issued for community members to participate in to stretch their scrapping skills. One of those challenges is the Design It Color Challenge, which provides a color palette and a theme and challenges those who play along to create a mini kit. This is my second month giving it a shot. I was pretty happy with how my kit turned out, and a couple of members asked if I would share the kit, so here it is.

If you download, I'd love it if you left a note :)

Thanks!

Project 365 Update

So I used a little bit of my time this weekend and got a few more layouts done. I'm really loving the prompts that Connie Prince has supplied. Here are my takes on prompts 4 through 6.

My First Attempt at Designing

Project 365

So I am trying a new approach to a long term scrapbooking project. Connie Prince, one of the digital scrapbooking designers that I regularly follow, posted a list of daily inspiration prompts for the month of January on her blog, and I am going to try to follow along. I'll put my best foot forward to do one a day, but won't beat myself up if I miss a day, and will just continue along, catching up when I can. So far, I have completed prompts 1 though 3.

I know I'm not quite up to date, but I'm feeling pretty good about my progress so far.

40 Days of Scrapping Purpose - Day 4

Today's challenge can be found HERE. To summarize, the challenge was to create a one page layout with the title "Overcome Adversity". On this page, you are to tell the story of a tough moment of adversity that you have gone through and overcome in life through either multiple photos or journaling and include at the bottom of the page one life lesson that you learned that came out of your experience. Here is what I came up with:

40 Days of Scrapping Purpose - Day 3

Today's challenge can be found HERE. To summarize, the challenge was to create a one page layout with the title "Seize the Moment & the Memory" focusing on one moment or memory in your life that you feel altered/changed your life. The page should include a photo of the moment or memory if possible, and journaling about the moment writen from the perspective of a storyteller, and including at least one feeling you personally had about that moment. Your favorite word, quote, Bible Verse, etc. could be used to convey this feeling. Here is what I came up with:

This layout was created using All About Me: The Tweens by Trixie Scraps Designs.
